Guided tours of the museum last about an hour but take your time exploring the exhibits after your tour.
Experience the legendary families of the feud by visiting the last Homeplace of “Devil Anse” Hatfield and area feud sites!
Only a quarter mile from the National Landmarked Hatfield Cemetery where all feuding families lay at rest. Experience how the legendary Hatfield family lived during and after the feud, you may even meet a descendant during your visit!
The last homeplace and hideout of the feud patriarch “Devil Anse” Hatfield boasts an on-site Hatfield McCoy Museum showcasing actual relics from the feud and Appalachian culture. Just crossing the bridge built by “Devil Anse” himself, you are walking on feud history! Not to mention the family’s moonshine well from when they made their own corn liquor.
It also features a gift shop that prides itself on carrying unique one of a kind, local artisan souvenirs, and authentic Hatfield McCoy merchandise.
The Hatfield Homeplace hosts its own food truck “Eat’n with The Hatfield’s” that serves hot and fresh delicious meals to enjoy on the serene property during your visit!
The Hatfield McCoy Foundation is proud to be a resource for our community and the state of West Virginia. Our team can organize a visit tailored to the interests of your group.
Guided tours of the museum and cemetery where all the Hatfield feud descendants lay at rest will be with a direct descendant, museum staff, or family historian.
Large group tours need to be scheduled at least three days in advance.

We can also offer a tour guide service by a descendant or one of our historical staff members for your tour bus or group to see the offsite feud locations.
